According to the Public Relations Office of the International Arbaeen Narrative Festival, the closing ceremony of the first International Arbaeen Narrative Festival for students of the Islamic world was held today in the Ibn Sina Hall of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences.
At this ceremony, Hojjat al-Islam Dr. Ali Khadivi, Head of the Representative Office of the Supreme Leader at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, offered condolences on the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (peace be upon him), and emphasized that the issue of presenting a correct narrative is one of the most important matters in the Islamic world. He added: Throughout history, we have always witnessed the confrontation between authentic narratives and distortive currents, while the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) consistently strove to convey the true Shi’a narrative to future generations.
He went on to reference the wise words of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution regarding the “war of narratives” in the present era, continuing: Throughout the history of Islam, we have always witnessed this war of narratives, just as we see it today. Our enemies have entered the field with the weapons of superstition and rumor, attempting to present a false narrative of the Islamic Revolution.
Hojjat al-Islam Dr. Khadivi stressed: Our media must also confront this current with realism, and transfer the true narratives to society through the tools of art and media.
The Head of the Representative Office of the Supreme Leader at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences further described Arbaeen as one of the most powerful media of Shi’ism throughout history, emphasizing: One of the most beautiful phenomena that has existed since the time of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and has led to the flourishing of Islam is the Arbaeen pilgrimage. Every year, we witness this million-strong march, which serves as a unique medium for Shi’ism.
He added: Arbaeen is the most remarkable and the largest human, spiritual, and moral gathering in the world, one that seeks compassion and goodwill across the globe.
Elaborating on the objectives of the International Arbaeen Narrative Festival, Hojjat al-Islam Dr. Khadivi stated: The Office of the Representative of the Supreme Leader at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences seeks to collect people’s narratives of the Arbaeen pilgrimage in this festival, so that by processing these authentic accounts in the form of art and media, they may become a driving force within society.
In conclusion, Hojjat al-Islam Dr. Khadivi expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all the participants, organizers, and spiritual supporters of this event.
