Introduction of mourning

Introducing the first international elegy of “The Story of Arbaeen”:

Arbaeen is the day of pilgrimage. This pilgrimage can play an important role as a medium and a symbol of geopolitical power. Additionally, its correct reflection in the media is a new opportunity for the Islamic world and the Islamic Revolution.

 At first, the foreign media censored the news of the Arbaeen phenomenon, but in the following years, by referring to marginal issues or its distortion, they only showed a small aspect of this great phenomenon; In recent years, some people approached Arbaeen mislabeling it and creating false claims.

Undoubtedly, the international media’s attention to Arbaeen will increase in the coming years.

This attention is accompanied by a distortionist approach such as controversy, intra-religious disputes, superstitions, etc. for this reason, the art of propagating Arbaeen correctly is to increase the presence of truth-seeking and harmonious media to an extent  that the possibility of distortion is reduced. Moreover, all the capacities of Imam al-Hussain’s uprising and the Arbaeen procession should be recognized and developed according to the different cultures. It is necessary to deepen both the emotional and intellectual dimensions of this great congregation of people, through deepening the concepts therein.

One way to reach that important objective is to hold media elegies and ceremonies centered on Arbaeen, by collecting media productions and processing them into intelligent and creative documentaries and visual programs that can shape the works of art in a favorable and desired way.  Making movies and documentaries about the events of this route and the people who have been inspired by this spiritual pilgrimage is a way to expand the Arbaeen Walk culture.

In this regard, by organizing “The Story of Arbaeen” event, the representative body of the Supreme Leader in Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, is seeking to obtain those abundant spiritual resources in order to take a step toward the realization of an ideal society by processing and producing great works of art.

According to the Supreme Leader’s emphasis on paying attention to international students, this event will be held for students of the Islamic world in several majors, which we will discuss in the following.
